Describe the existing equipment
Send the generator make, model, serial number, capacity and operating hours. Include its site location, duty, service history and known issues. This helps define the equipment covered by the proposal.
Check planned maintenance
Identify the service tasks, visit arrangements and records included. Ask how the schedule relates to the equipment's requirements and operating use. A general annual fee should not leave the actual work unclear.
Separate included items from extra work
Check parts, filters, fluids, batteries, labour, travel and repairs. Confirm how additional work is quoted and approved. If you need transfer-switch work or load testing, name it explicitly and ask whether it is available and included.
Agree the response arrangements
Ask how breakdown requests are handled and what response commitments or charges apply. Do not infer round-the-clock cover from an AMC label. Confirm the contact route, exclusions and contract period in writing before accepting.
